Recently, when her nephew, Marc was cutting down weeds for the seasonal weed abatement requirements, he heard the sound of a duck. He looked around through the stream area and found
a baby duck. Nancy, who has one of the biggest hearts for animals that I know, brought little Donald into the office and told the story how this little guy was found. She figured that his mother may have flown to get food and may have become food herself leaving little Donald behind. They looked on the internet to find what to feed him and called our local wildlife rescue, Wildhaven Ranch. While Marc's little sister Jazzy wanted to keep little Donald, everyone decided that little Donald would be safer at Wildhaven where he currently lives a very happy life.
And here I thought ducks just lived at Lake Gregory.
