Many home owners are exploring the new role of landlord for various reasons. If my client is wanting to turn their home into a rental and manage their own property, the best advice I can give them is to know the rental laws that effect their rental property. I do my best to advise them to talk with their tax accountant to see if this venture is beneficial to them financially as well.
